Our History
Owens Brothers
RV Park and Campground
Nestled on the picturesque shores of Lake Fork, Owens Brothers RV Park and Campground embodies a legacy of passion and dedication that dates back to the late 1970s. What began as a piece of land purchased by the Owens family has transformed into a cherished retreat, offering unparalleled tranquility and natural beauty to visitors from near and far.
The story of Owens Brothers RV Park and Campground is one of deep roots and enduring commitment. In 1984, the Owens family built their home on the land, laying the foundation for years of cherished memories and adventures. Even before Lake Fork was filled with water, they would traverse the landscape in their jeep, exploring the terrain that would one day become their beloved campground.
In 1996, construction began on what would become Owens Brothers RV Park and Campground. Over the course of a year, Dean Owens poured his heart and soul into designing and building the entire park himself, alongside a dedicated team of 25 workers. With meticulous attention to detail and a vision for creating a welcoming haven amidst nature, Dean brought his dream to life.
Spanning 12 acres of pristine land with direct access to the shimmering waters of Lake Fork, our campground offers a sanctuary for those seeking solace and adventure alike. History of
Lake Fork
Lake Fork Reservoir was created in the 1980s as a result of damming a portion of the Sabine River. Construction of the dam began in 1977, and by 1980, the reservoir began to fill, eventually reaching its full capacity in 1985.
The primary purpose of Lake Fork Reservoir was flood control, but it quickly gained fame for its exceptional bass fishing. Stocked with Florida strain largemouth bass, Lake Fork became known as one of the premier bass fishing destinations in the United States.
Over the years, Lake Fork has hosted numerous fishing tournaments, attracting anglers from around the world eager to test their skills on its fertile waters. Many record-breaking bass have been caught here, solidifying its reputation as a bass fishing paradise.
In addition to its renowned fishing opportunities, Lake Fork has become a popular recreational destination for boating, water sports, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking to enjoy the natural beauty of East Texas.
Today, Lake Fork continues to draw visitors seeking adventure, relaxation, and the thrill of reeling in the catch of a lifetime. Its rich history and abundant wildlife make it a cherished gem in the heart of Texas.

Very quiet rv park we have had our rv there for 15 years. Well kept my only wish for the park is that we could have a fire pit.
